The unabridged title for this would be: A Drawing Of The Nighttime Sky In An Illustrated Storybook About A Diwata
A 'diwata' is like the Filipino version of the fairy or... forest spirit of some sort. Actually, the book was about how kasoy (cashew) nuts came to be. It had something to do with the diwata. Well, the sky-drawings in the book didn't really look like this but this drawing reminds me of.. books like that. Basta. Pens on paper. The drawing is actually of a moonshell and a wing (yes, you all know how I love moonshells.. and wings... attached to each other...) ... but some people think it looks like a hummingbird, and I guess it sort of does. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
